Take one private Villa with uninterrupted sea views and garden gate access to a shallow shelving beach of pure golden sand. Place it between a small seaside town and a lesser well known but no less beautiful Baroque town and set the whole in the south of Sicily.
Convert the Villa into 3 modern, independent apartments with a lovely outdoor BBQ kitchen, for the enjoyment of all and you have Villa Donnalucata. The Vela Apartment is one of 2 apartments at sea level.
Location
The small seaside town of Donnalucata is a 2 km stroll along the beach, where you will find all essentials for a beach holiday with restaurants and shopping for essentials. 5 kms inland is the lovely baroque town of Scicli.
Visiting Scicli with its narrow streets of fabulous buildings squeezed between the steep sides of a gorge may whet your appetite for further exploration of the baroque towns and Modica and Ragusa are both within a 30 minute drive.
If you watch the TV (limited channels/news only) series Montalbano then you may recognise many of the streets in Scicli as it’s used as the location for many of the scenes in ‘Vigata’.
