Description
Set amongst a patchwork of green vineyards on the hillside just 500 metres from sandy Stalos beach, Rouladina Apartment 2 is one of a group of just 6 apartments in a quiet neighbourhood. Since they were first introduced to our program, the Rouladina Apartments have proved consistently popular and guests return year after year. They come back, not only for the location and comfort of the apartments, but for the warm welcome from the owners, Manolis and Dimitra. They have their own apartment and take care of the property and their guests with a perfect combination of discrete Canadian/Greek efficiency and genuine Cretan hospitality.
Location Stalos
Just a short stroll downhill from the apartments there is a choice of several tavernas, shops and mini markets. Opposite the apartments is a family run taverna which has been approved by several guests as well. The long sandy beach of Stalos runs for 7kms merging with Agia Marina and Platanias, which are more bustling in peak season vs the low key Stalos beach. There is a regular bus service to Chania on the main road in Stalos.

Shared Swimming Pool - 10m x 5m swimming pool. Depth 1.1m - 2m.
Sun Terrace - furnished with sunbeds and parasols
Reception area - with shower, WC, washing machine, library and luggage storage (for arrival/departure day).
Outside Rouladina Apartment 2 - pool side, ground floor apartment.
Private terrace overlooking pool - furnished with table and chairs and comfy rattan chairs. A gate is there to keep children safe.

Sitting area - Sofa and chairs, Local TV.
Dining Area - wooden dining table and chairs. Window with pool and sea view. Door to poolside terrace. Air con unit.
Kitchen area - worktop over wood cupboards ceramic hob and electric oven, double sink, large fridge freezer.
Double bedroom with en suite shower room - 1 Double bed, wardrobe and ceiling fan. Window with pool and sea view. Shower room, with walk-in shower, wash hand basin and WC.
Twin Bedroom - 2 single beds (can be placed together), door opening to rear terrace, wardrobe and ceiling fan. Patio doors to bougainvillea covered rear terrace.
Twin bedroom - 2 single beds (can be placed together), wardrobe and ceiling fan. Windows with view of the rear terrace.
Family bathroom - bath with shower attachment, wash basin, WC.
Housekeeping
Your apartment will be prepared for you on arrival with fresh bath and hand towels and all beds made up.
For stays of 7 nights or more - house towels will be changed every 3 - 4 days.
For stays of 14 nights or more - bed linen will be changed every 7 days.
Pool/beach towels - one per person for the duration of your stay.
Parking
On site there is parking for four cars plus ample off road parking.

We (5 of us) stayed at the Rouladina apartment 2 in Crete . All communication with the Freelance Villas was very pleasant with precise information available to us before arrival. The directions and check in was smooth and since we arrived late, we csee more
We (5 of us) stayed at the Rouladina apartment 2 in Crete . All communication with the Freelance Villas was very pleasant with precise information available to us before arrival. The directions and check in was smooth and since we arrived late, we could just go straight to the apartment and relax. We met the hosts next morning, they were extremely nice and warm! The apartment was very clean, everything as advertised. I would especially mention the view to the sea and the small terrace / patio in front with a table and a few chairs. The kitchen is well equipped and we spent a few mornings having breakfast on the terrace and evenings with a drink, just perfect for a small group. The pool is clean and suitable for a dip before heading outjust lazing around. There is also sufficient parking space. The rooms were cosy, and there are two bathrooms, one (small) attached to a room and another common from the living room. The cleaning was done twice during our stay which was more than sufficient. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and it was totally worth the price we paid for our stay. We would surely go back on our next visit to Crete!

This was our second time staying a Rouladina. It is so cozy, quiet, welcoming and beautiful. Its perfectly located off the beaten path of Platanias/Stalos so you are away from the hustle and bustle of the night life but still within walking distance see more
This was our second time staying a Rouladina. It is so cozy, quiet, welcoming and beautiful. Its perfectly located off the beaten path of Platanias/Stalos so you are away from the hustle and bustle of the night life but still within walking distance to the beach and shops. The apartment has been newly renovated and though simple & sweet it provided us with the perfect sanctuary after long days out exploring. I look forward to our next stay! Thank you Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Appt 2 was exactly as described and was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Shower in the en suite has to be well timed as you inevitably get the floor wet which makes using the loo a bit of an isee more

Shower in the en suite has to be well timed as you inevitably get the floor wet which makes using the loo a bit of an issue but once you get the timing right it's fine! The pool was immaculate and the area really well maintained. Stalos is very much a resort, but the beaches are great and there are loads of good Tavernas to choose from. We had a great family holiday there. The booklet that Freelance supply is excellent! Make use of it!

FREELANCE - excellent service and would use again ROULADINA APARTMENTS - good standard, good position with a lovely sea view, clean and well maintained, very friendly owners, great pool and poolside area. We could not have been more pleased. KATO STAsee more
FREELANCE - excellent service and would use again ROULADINA APARTMENTS - good standard, good position with a lovely sea view, clean and well maintained, very friendly owners, great pool and poolside area. We could not have been more pleased. KATO STALOS - good number of well stocked mini markets which suited our needs very well, very helpful car hire company 5 mins from apartment, numerous places to eat - a particular favourite being Kimatogi. Bus to Chania cheap and only a 15 minute journey. A quiet resort with a nice beach which again suited us perfectly. CRETE - best Greek island we have visited and we loved the combination of fantastic beaches and mountains. People incredibly friendly and helpful. Highlights for us were, in order: BALOS BEACH CLIMBING GINGILOS ELAFONISI BEACH BOTANICAL GARDENS CHANIA OLD TOWN - favourite taverna was XANI. Hope to book with you again in the future.
