Rouladina Apartment 2 – Ground-Floor Apartment with Private Poolside Terrace, Stalos
Set among a patchwork of green vineyards on the hillside, just 500 metres from sandy Stalos beach, Rouladina Apartment 2 is one of a small group of just six apartments in a quiet neighbourhood. These apartments have long been popular with guests who return year after year — drawn not only by the location and comfort, but by the warm welcome from owners Manolis and Dimitra, who live on site and look after the property and their guests with a perfect blend of discreet efficiency and genuine Cretan hospitality.
Location – Stalos
A short stroll downhill brings you to a choice of tavernas, shops and mini markets. Directly opposite the apartments is a family-run taverna that has been enjoyed by many past guests. The long sandy beach of Stalos runs for 7 km, merging with Agia Marina and Platanias — livelier in peak season, while Stalos beach itself remains low-key. There is a regular bus service to Chania from the main road in Stalos.

We (5 of us) stayed at the Rouladina apartment 2 in Crete . All communication with the Freelance Villas was very pleasant with precise information available to us before arrival. The directions and check in was smooth and since we arrived late, we csee more
We (5 of us) stayed at the Rouladina apartment 2 in Crete . All communication with the Freelance Villas was very pleasant with precise information available to us before arrival. The directions and check in was smooth and since we arrived late, we could just go straight to the apartment and relax. We met the hosts next morning, they were extremely nice and warm! The apartment was very clean, everything as advertised. I would especially mention the view to the sea and the small terrace / patio in front with a table and a few chairs. The kitchen is well equipped and we spent a few mornings having breakfast on the terrace and evenings with a drink, just perfect for a small group. The pool is clean and suitable for a dip before heading outjust lazing around. There is also sufficient parking space. The rooms were cosy, and there are two bathrooms, one (small) attached to a room and another common from the living room. The cleaning was done twice during our stay which was more than sufficient. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and it was totally worth the price we paid for our stay. We would surely go back on our next visit to Crete!

This was our second time staying a Rouladina. It is so cozy, quiet, welcoming and beautiful. Its perfectly located off the beaten path of Platanias/Stalos so you are away from the hustle and bustle of the night life but still within walking distance see more
This was our second time staying a Rouladina. It is so cozy, quiet, welcoming and beautiful. Its perfectly located off the beaten path of Platanias/Stalos so you are away from the hustle and bustle of the night life but still within walking distance to the beach and shops. The apartment has been newly renovated and though simple & sweet it provided us with the perfect sanctuary after long days out exploring. I look forward to our next stay! Thank you Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Appt 2 was exactly as described and was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Shower in the en suite has to be well timed as you inevitably get the floor wet which makes using the loo a bit of an isee more

Shower in the en suite has to be well timed as you inevitably get the floor wet which makes using the loo a bit of an issue but once you get the timing right it's fine! The pool was immaculate and the area really well maintained. Stalos is very much a resort, but the beaches are great and there are loads of good Tavernas to choose from. We had a great family holiday there. The booklet that Freelance supply is excellent! Make use of it!

FREELANCE - excellent service and would use again ROULADINA APARTMENTS - good standard, good position with a lovely sea view, clean and well maintained, very friendly owners, great pool and poolside area. We could not have been more pleased. KATO STALOS - good number of well stocked mini markets which suited our needs very well, very helpful car hire company 5 mins from apartment, numerous places to eat - a particular favourite being Kimatogi. Bus to Chania cheap and only a 15 minute journey. A quiet resort with a nice beach which again suited us perfectly. CRETE - best Greek island we have visited and we loved the combination of fantastic beaches and mountains. People incredibly friendly and helpful. Highlights for us were, in order: BALOS BEACH CLIMBING GINGILOS ELAFONISI BEACH BOTANICAL GARDENS CHANIA OLD TOWN - favourite taverna was XANI. Hope to book with you again in the future.
