Description
Roussas House is set in a fairly remote area of Crete where the main attraction is the choices of wonderful beaches dotted along the coastline. Apart from peaceful beach days in quiet surroundings there are superb laid back seaside tavernas as well. Making this area the perfect place to switch off and relax, watch the colour of the sea change throughout the day and then watch the star studded nightsky twinkle above. Days can be spent lounging in the garden or swimming at either of the nearest beaches of Ligres or Triopetra. Roussas House is also a perfect base for exploring the south coast from Moni Preveil to Galini for the more adventurous.
Location
Although guests at Roussas House may feel as though they are on the edge of the world, it is no more than a 10 minute walk to 2 tavernas each with a swimming pool which customers are very welcome to make use of. The area is generally well provided for eating places, with several tavernas at intervals along the beautiful and unspoilt sandy coastline. Agia Fotia taverna on the sea should not be missed where the fresh fish is grilled and you can almost dip your toes in the water as you eat.
For shopping, there is a well stocked minimarket in Kerames, a 10 minute drive and the picturesque Spilia village is 30 minutes inland and has a good selection of small shops as well as a traditional baker.

Kitchen - 4 ring ceramic hob and oven, full fridge freezer, kettle, filter coffee pot and breakfast table and chairs. Garden view window above sink.
Living room - Cretan sofa, coffee table, fireplace and wifi. Window and front door to garden & shaded terrace.
Double bedroom- 1 double bed, wardrobe and bedside table. French doors to the terrace with sea view. Air Con unit.
Shower room - shower, wash basin, W.C and washing machine.
First Floor (with spiral staircase)
Twin bedroom (with sloping ceiling) - 2 single beds, short door to balcony with sea view. Air Con. unit
Housekeeping
Your house will be prepared for you on arrival with a set of fresh bath and hand towels and all beds will be made up.
For stays of 7 nights or more - house towels will be changed every 3-4 days.
For stays of 14 nights or more - bed linen is changed every 7 nights.
Beach Towels - one per person for the duration of your stay.
Parking - Parking just outside the property gates.

The undeveloped area and natural beauty of the location. It is within a day visit by car to ancient historic sites at Phaistos , Agia Triada and Gortyn which compare very favourably with Knossos. Triopetra beach is beautiful.
