As locations for family villas go, Villa Formosa might be as close to perfection as possible! Set in beautiful private gardens with a stunning pool in the heart of Cala San Vicenc, Villa Formosa is a rare find, with the beaches, shops and restaurants within walking distance.
A very attractive, part stone-clad house Villa Formosa is secluded behind mature hedges and trees, yet also enjoys superb views to the mountain backdrop.
The large (12x7m) crystal clear swimming pool is the star of the show, and is sure to be the favourite place for your party to come together. It is set in a lovely level terrace at the end of the gardens and has a small waterfall feature, lighting and both ladder steps and roman corner steps. There are plenty of sunbeds to luxuriate on after a refreshing dip!
Well-tended mature gardens with mature olive and holm oak trees, offer a very peaceful place to find a shady spot for an afternoon nap or with a good book. There is a built-in BBQ under the shade of the trees and the covered verandah that wraps around the sides of the villa offers plenty of space for dining al fresco.
Inside Villa Formosa is a light, split-level living space offering lots of space and access out onto the terraces. In the upper level area is a large dining table & chairs, which easily seats 6. The cosy sitting area has two comfortable sofas around a decorative fireplace, plus a satellite TV (limited channels/news only) & DVD player. A further seating area is flooded with light from two sets of full-length glass doors opening to the covered terrace and garden.
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, with generous storage, a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher and a breakfast table. Leading off the kitchen is the laundry room with a washing machine.
The simply decorated, restful bedrooms are to the rear of the villa, all having the benefit of air conditioning units. There is a double bedroom with a generous en-suite shower room. Two twin bedrooms share a full bathroom, having a full bath and shower over.
A spiral staircase leads down to the garage (and up to a mezzanine level that is not accessible).

Villa Medina is in the centre of Cala San Vicenc, and is ideal for those looking for a beach holiday, or for snorkelling & diving enthusiasts, since it is a mere 325 metres from the sandy coves of Cala Barques and Cala Molins. Built on two levels, the modern and sleek design is restful and spacious, with beautifully presented accommodation inside and out.
Exterior stairs bring you to a large covered terrace to the front of the house and here you will find the main entrance, taking you into the central hallway. Throughout the house are air conditioning/heating units, making this a comfortable villa all season.
The large dining room is furnished with an attractive table and chairs for 8 people. This open, central space leads to the sitting room at one end and the kitchen to the other.
Large windows in the living room bring in lots of light and offer sea views, and this room offers three comfortable sofas, flatscreen TV (limited channels/news only), DVD player, satellite (English & German channels) as well as free Wi-Fi internet connection.
The modern fitted kitchen has lots of storage space and is fully equipped, including an oven & hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. Another table in here provides an alternative space for breakfast or a relaxed coffee, and there is convenient access direct to the swimming pool and terraces.
To the other side of the hallway, a cloakroom accessible from the main living areas, and then the bedrooms. One double and one twin bedroom are located on the lower floor and the other double and twin are on the upper floor. All are cheerfully decorated and have their own en suite bathrooms (one has a full bath).
Outside, the elegantly designed sparkling pool has roman steps and mosaic tiles. It is surrounded by a cobbled stone terrace, complete with sunbeds and an easily accessed poolside shower room. If you’d like a friendly game of table tennis, there is also a table for your use. The atmospheric lighting at night makes the outside space feel really special and extends your evening relaxing by the pool.
Sited in the heart of Cala San Vicenc residential area, a stone’s throw from the beaches and other amenities, Villa Medina is a fantastic villa for a family holiday in Mallorca.
