Description
A beautifully restored village house, Villa Argiro is a mere 100 m from one of the excellent tavernas that border the shady square in delightful Plaka. High stone walls ensure privacy in the pool and surrounding gardens. The living space is exceptionally spacious, combining modern facilities with lovely stone arches spanning the ceiling. A lovely feature of this Villa is the first floor terrace with sea views between the neighbouring rooftops and gorgeous mountain views.
Location - Plaka
1 km uphill from the sandy sweep of pretty Almyrida, with its tavernas almost on the sand itself, the village of Plaka, has a mini market and some very good tavernas whose tables and chairs spill out onto the square, bringing it to life in the evenings. Villa Argiro is just a short walk distance from this square. For a change of beach scene, the small resort of Kalyves and Georgioupolis are within easy striking distance. Chania Venetian Harbour is 25 kms away and Rethymnon 40 kms.

First Floor Terrace with sea and mountain views - Pergola furnished with cane table and easy chairs and sunbathing terrace with sun beds.
Ground Floor - Villa Argiro
Sitting Area - two sofas, open fireplace, Satellite TV (limited channels), DVD, windows with pool views and door to pool terrace.
Dining Area - wooden table and seating for 6, hatch to kitchen
Kitchen - Cream painted fitted cupboards, double sink, ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, espresso maker (Nespresso original capsules), door to courtyard with BBQ terrace and dining area.
Twin Bedroom - 2 single beds, French doors to pool terrace, window with pool view. and TV with local channesl. Air con unit.
Twin bedroom - 2 single beds (can be pushed together without a gap) French doors to pool terrace. Window to side. Air con unit
Shower room - Shower cubical, wash basin, WC and washing machine.
First Floor - Villa Argiro

Housekeeping
Your Villa will be prepared for you on arrival with fresh bath and hand towels and all beds made up.
For stays of 7 nights or more - house towels will be changed every 3 - 4 days.
For stays of 14 nights or more - bed linen will be changed every 7 days.
Pool/beach towels - one per person for the duration of your stay.
Parking - There is parking space for two cars at the rear entrance.

Extremely helpful on villa choice for mobility reasons and help support my parents on their return with all extra paperwork during the pandemic. The villa is beautiful, so much outside space, fantastic views from the two terraces upstairs, two area outside also. The owner was there to meet us, a welcome pack with essentials provided. We’ve stayed in a lot of places in Crete but this has been the best villa, we hope to return. |

A beautifully presented comfortable villa, preserving a traditional feel with modern features set in the delightful village of Plaka above Almyrida. It was lovely to be able to swim in the pool, choose from 4 different outdoor areas to sit and eat,wander 2 minutes into Plaka. Here, at the best taverna in the area, family-run ‘Elpis’ produce excellent home cooked dishes using produce from their farm and traditional family recipes. A short drive away great snorkelling coves and small villages to explore. Staying at this villa gave us a little experience of village life and Cretan hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

The villa was stunning, clean, bright and spacious. Our girls loved the pool and although it was April the weather was warm and we couldn’t get the kids out of the poolthe jacuzzi bath! Lots of good attractions near by from gorge walking to Chania old town. Amazing food!, all in all a great stay!”
