Description
This lovely sea view Villa occupies its own little piece of the Liakis Peninsular surrounded by its pretty garden, edged with palms and Mediterranean shrubs offering the luxury of uninterrupted privacy. Green lawns roll down to a well placed pagoda with sublime sea and mountain views and it really is worth getting out of bed early, at least once, to enjoy the sunrise from here. Mostly it’s all about a totally easy holiday living at Villa Hephaestus with all accommodation at ground floor level and the comfortable living room, three airy bedrooms and well organised kitchen no more than a few steps from the pool, its terraces and the garden.
Location, Spartia
One of an exclusive group of Villas each set privately in its own gardens, occupying the Liakias peninsular and a few kilometers from tiny Spartia village. A short walk down the hill takes you to an interesting rock formation with a platform lapped by the sea, with sunbeds, parasols and a ladder entry to the sea - unbeatable for snorkeling. Spartia sandy beach is just a 5min drive away, above which The Waterways Taverna entices boat owners to tie up at the small jetty below.
Spartia's maze-like narrow roads all lead to the village centre, where there are two mini markets and a couple of tavernas. For more choice, the lovely town of Argostoli is just a 20min drive away.

We had a lovely week here, the villa is very spacious and in a truly stunning location with incredible views. We loved going down to the rocky beach below (by car, it's too far to walk in the heat) which was absolutely breathtaking swimming and snorksee more

Villa Hephaestus is located in a elevated position with uninterrupted view of the sea. It is very private with no sight of neighbours. The villa is spacious and perfect for 6 adults. The shower is great. Very high pressure and plenty of hot water. Alsee more
Villa Hephaestus is located in a elevated position with uninterrupted view of the sea. It is very private with no sight of neighbours. The villa is spacious and perfect for 6 adults. The shower is great. Very high pressure and plenty of hot water. All bedrooms are air conditioned including the sitting area to keep everyone cool. The kitchen is well equipped for making meals with the added convenience of a dish washer and washing machine. There is a BBQ which we used twice. The pool is a good size. There is a gazebo at the end of the garden which is a great setting to sit in the shade to do some leisure reading with a nice breeze. It is great focal point for photos towards the end of the day. The trade off for having such a secluded location is that a hired car is a must. The villa is even better than the pictures. It is wonderful.
Freelance is an excellent company. Diane provided useful information before we arrived and also helped to arrange for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. Whist we are there, Sylvia is available on WhatsApp to deal with any issues and provide useful information. The housekeeping team visited the villa every few days and they did an excellent job tidying, cleaning and changing the bedding and towel. Overall, we are really impressed with Freelance and the villa. We will definitely use them again and I highly recommend the villa and Freelance. |
