Sitting just a mile outside of the village centre of Selca, the sleek & modern Villa Andora occupies an elevated spot with superb panoramic views across the rugged hillsides on which it perches. Secluded and luxurious, Villa Andora offers a perfect holiday villa choice for those seeking the peace and tranquility of a rural situation, without compromising on comfort.
The stunning swimming pool occupies pride of place and enjoys the prime viewpoint towards the sea. A level unfenced terrace, complete with plenty of sun loungers, surrounds the chlorine-free pool, and the swathe of rosemary planted below makes for a heady scent. The comfortable seating area is shaded with a large parasol and is a fantastic spot to enjoy a good book or an evening sundowner.
Villa Andora is flooded with light and magnificent views, thanks to the huge sliding glass doors into the living areas. To one end of this airy open-plan space, the long comfortable L-shaped sofa faces the doors and maximises the vista across the terrace, pool and green-encrusted slopes to the Adriatic Sea. The addition of a TV (limited channels/news only) & DVD player offer an alternative view, if wanted.
The chic and streamlined kitchen-dining area sits to the other end of this ground floor space, again with the large doors bringing the Croatian sunshine in and giving access to the relaxation area of the poolside terrace. As you would expect, this high quality kitchen is well equipped, with oven & hob, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher and more. Stools at the breakfast bar, and the large dining table adjacent to the kitchen island, make this a sociable space.
The upper floor of Villa Andora is divided into a left and right wing, connected by a covered walkway - making it feel rather castle-like! The left wing is accessed via the stairs inside and is home to one double bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room & toilet. The right wing has two double bedrooms, which share a shower room (no toilet) and a separate toilet. Downstairs the fourth bedroom has an ensuite shower room (no toilet) and there is a separate WC off the hallway.
Throughout Villa Andora are pictures of Dutch royalty, old maps, and historical figures, showing the pride the Dutch owners have in their heritage. It is a beautifully decorated & furnished villa, beautifully blending the most modern of fittings alongside classic and antique pieces.
A short trip down to Selca will reward you with buildings to take your breath away, such as the massive neo-Romanesque church of Christ the king, elegant stone houses, as well as the unexpected gallery of busts and statues in the centre. It is a sleepy traditional area, where you can relax and unwind whilst being just a stone’s throw from the many beaches, activities and amenities on Brac.
